NOSC confirms there will be no 2022 Oscars submission as films fail eligibility criteria

In a letter written to the Academy and signed by NOSC chairperson, Chineze Anyaene, she revealed that choice course of had halted following points bordering on eligibility.

“After a collection of deliberations by the Committee members, we remorse to announce that there received’t be a submission of a movie to symbolize the nation for the 94th Academy Awards. This is because of the truth that the films obtained to this point for screening failed the eligibility rule take a look at set by the Academy,” Anyaene said.

“The Committee is dedicated to making sure that the movie which might ultimately symbolize the nation on the 94th Academy Awards within the International Feature Film class meets all eligibility guidelines and technical necessities for the competitors.”
