There are a number of occasions commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11 in Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
In Westchester County, the first of two occasions in Yonkers begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hudson River waterfront. The second begins at 7:30 p.m. at Conor Park on McLean Avenue.
In Dutchess County, a remembrance ceremony shall be held 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Sergeant Mark C. Palmateer 9/11 Memorial Park in the city of Wappinger.
At the identical time, a name-reading service in Rockland County at the Haverstraw Bay County Park.
The occasion may even be livestreamed on the Rockland County Facebook and YouTube pages.
For these in Orange County, a memorial service shall be held at Warwick Veterans Memorial Park in Warwick that may begin at 5 p.m.
