Bode George says PDP must zone presidency to south

The PDP chieftain stated the choice of the occasion to ‘grasp the presidency’ within the air is harmful, unfair and improper.

In an announcement titled, “Zoning is about fairness and equity,” the politician suggested PDP stakeholders to make sure the occasion returns to energy in 2023.

The assertion reads partially, “There is an outdated, enlightening precept laid down by the founding fathers of our occasion since 1999 that six key positions must at all times be zoned to the six geo political constituents of our nation to guarantee fairness and orderly steadiness of energy.”

“The six key positions are the President, Vice President, National Chairman, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

“Naturally, because of this if the Presidency goes to the North, the Chairman of the occasion goes to the South and vice versa. All these positions are zoned due to the need of nationwide belonging and lodging. Every part of this nation must have a way of equitable participation in our nationwide life.

“This has been the enduring pivot of our democratic expertise since 1999. There is now a risk to this unwritten doctrine. The zoning association which gave the north the Chairmanship of our occasion and leaves the Presidency open is incongruous, unwholesome and a recipe for catastrophe.

“Once the Chairmanship is now within the north, the presidency must come to the south. There must not be any ambiguity in any respect. This needs to be crystal clear. Hanging the presidency within the air like a hovering craft with no touchdown zone is harmful, unfair and improper.
